Job Responsibilities:
As a Junior Trademark Attorney at Eldib & Co Attorneys at Law you will be responsible of safeguarding the intellectual property rights of our clients under the supervision and guidance of a Senior Trademark Attorney. Your responsibilities will include:
1-Exchange correspondence with the firm’s clients regarding the current status of their intellectual property rights.
2-Respond to client inquiries and questions related to intellectual property rights.
3-Conduct searches for local and international trademarks through trademark offices, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and online databases.
4-Draft complaints and oppositions for trademarks.
5-Handle litigation procedures related to trademarks.
6-Translate documents related to trademarks (e.g., ownership transfer contracts, licensing agreements, certificates of changes in names and addresses, firm incorporation certificates, trademark product lists).
7-Prepare and issue invoices for trademark expenses and fees.
8-Draft reports on the current status of trademarks.
9-Provide legal opinions and consultations regarding trademarks.
10-Attend sessions before Trademark Appeals and Oppositions Committees.
11-Participate in conferences, seminars, and workshops to represent the firm.
12-Initiate legal actions, draft memoranda, and attend sessions at all levels of litigation concerning intellectual property rights.
13-Take all legal actions related to intellectual property rights.
14-Interact with various entities such as the Ministry of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassies and Consulates, Courts, Prosecution, Police Departments, Customs Authority, Real Estate Registry, Post Offices, WIPO, African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI).
15-Prepare monthly reports on departmental activities.
16-Commit to achieving all strategic goals within the specified and expected timeframe.
Qualifications:
1-Egyptian citizenship.
2-Bachelor’s degree in Law with proficiency in English and/or French.
3-Member of the Egyptian Bar Association.
4-Fluent in English.
5-High analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
6-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
7-Negotiation skills.
8-Excellent administrative and computer skills.
9-Resident of Maadi, Mokattam, Nasr City, or nearby neighborhoods.
