New York, New York, November 20, 2019—The International Trademark Association (INTA) is pleased to announce Mohamed Eldib, Partner, Eldib & Co., Cairo, Egypt, as a recipient of the Association’s 2019 Service Award for INTA Membership Champion. The award is a new honor given to one or more individuals who help grow INTA membership, increase awareness of INTA, and promote member benefits, demonstrating their combined passion for trademark and related intellectual property (IP) law and their commitment to INTA through exceptional efforts.
When INTA recently began expanding its outreach in the Middle East and Africa region, Mr. Elbid immediately asked how he could help introduce the Association to prospective corporate members, government officials, and other stakeholders in Egypt. His successful efforts to raise the Association’s visibility in Egypt has included many “firsts” in the region, including helping to develop a membership roadshow and hosting an anticounterfeiting policy dialogue in Cairo.

“Mr. Eldib has worked tirelessly and enthusiastically to help expand INTA’s footprint in Egypt. His on-the-ground support proved crucial in raising the Association’s visibility in the region and protecting brand owners,” said INTA President David Lossignol. “He truly defines a member champion, and we are grateful for all he has accomplished.”

In accepting the award, Mr. Eldib said, “I genuinely believe in INTA’s mission, and I am just happy to be able to play a role and assist the Association in their endeavors. Receiving this award means a lot to me because it is proof that hard work and dedication truly pay off.” Mr. Eldib obtained a B.S. from Boston University – School of Management, and an LLB and LLM from BPP University. He joined Eldib & Co. in 2014, specializing in corporate and IP law.

INTA presented Mr. Eldib with the 2019 Service Award for INTA Membership Champion on November 19 during the Association’s 2019 Leadership Meeting in Austin, Texas. The Association also presented the award to M.S. Bharath, Senior Partner, Anand and Anand Advocates, Chennai, India, and Matias Somarriva, Partner, CMS, Santiago, Chile.
