Type: Full-time

 

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying growth opportunities,
building and maintaining a strong network of clients and international associates, and
expanding the firm’s reach into key jurisdictions. This role requires excellent
communication skills in both English and French, strong relationship management
capabilities, and a proactive approach to networking, outreach, and strategic
partnerships. The role also includes coordinating firm participation in conferences,
maintaining association agreements, and supporting client acquisition through targeted
initiatives.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

As a Business Development Manager at Eldib & Co Attorneys at Law your
responsibilities will include:

 

1. Market Research & Lead Generation:

  • Research organizations and individuals (especially in French-speaking
    jurisdictions) to identify new leads and potential markets.
  • Utilize social platforms and professional tools to expand the firm’s prospect list.
  • Proactively reach out to potential clients and partners via email, phone, and
    LinkedIn.
  • Track market developments and shifts to generate actionable intelligence.

 

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

  • Attend industry conferences, legal meetings, and networking events to build
    rapport with prospective clients and foreign associates.
  • Develop and deliver tailored presentations, firm capability decks, and proposals.
  • Maintain frequent contact with existing clients and collaborators to deepen
    relationships.
  • Follow up with prospects and dormant contacts to convert interest into
    instructions.
  • Respond to client feedback or dissatisfaction promptly and tactfully.

 

3. International Network Expansion:

  • Maintain and grow the firm’s supplier/associate network across strategic regions,
    particularly Africa, MENA, and Europe.
  • Negotiate and manage association agreements with local counsel and IP agents.
  • Track performance of associates and align them with client needs and
    jurisdictions.

 

4. Marketing Strategy Support & Coordination:

 

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Executive to align campaigns and outreach with
    BD goals.
  • Contribute to LinkedIn campaigns, newsletter content, and marketing
    deliverables.
  • Assist in drafting entries for firm submissions, rankings, and partnership
    proposals.

 

5. Performance Auditing & Financial Analysis:

  • Analyze ROI of business development activities and events.
  • Track conversion metrics, referral volumes, and instruction sources.
  • Prepare reports summarizing outreach performance, target pipelines, and client
    engagement KPIs.

 

6. Event Coordination &  Management:

  • Lead preparations for conferences and seminars — including scheduling,
    registrations, branding, and giveaways.
  • Manage post-event follow-up plans with clear outreach targets.

 

7. Content Contribution &  Industry Monitoring:

  • Collaborate on preparing updates, thought leadership pieces, and newsletters.
  • Stay informed of market news, competitor activity, and legal developments
    relevant to client acquisition.
  • Support subscriptions to key legal and business publications and monitor
    relevant sectors.

 

8. Association Agreements:

  • Organize and maintain records of association agreements and professional
    partnerships.
  • Propose new association opportunities based on jurisdictional demand or client
    trends.

 

9. Other Business Development Activities:

  • Identify and initiate partnerships, joint campaigns, or referral networks.
  • Assist in setting client onboarding strategies and retention workflows.
  • Support internal training and presentations on BD best practices.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Law, or a related field is preferred.

 

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential; French fluency is a plus.

 

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business development, preferably in a legal
    or professional services environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to build trust and long-
    term relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Comfortable with travel for conferences and international meetings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM tools.
  • Familiarity with the legal and intellectual property landscape is an advantage.
