Asian Legal Business (ALB), part of Thomson Reuters, names Amr Eldib to its Super 50 MENA Lawyers 2026, while Eldib & Co is shortlisted for IP Law Firm of the Year and Egypt Law Firm of the Year<\/em><\/p>\n

CAIRO, 26 October 2026: Asian Legal Business (ALB), part of Thomson Reuters, has named Amr Eldib, Managing Partner of Eldib & Co, among its Super 50 MENA Lawyers 2026, a regional list recognizing 50 leading legal practitioners across the Middle East and North Africa.<\/p>\n

The recognition comes as Eldib & Co has also been shortlisted as a finalist in two categories at the ALB Middle East Law Awards 2026: IP Law Firm of the Year and Egypt Law Firm of the Year. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in Dubai on 5 November.<\/p>\n

Amr Eldib leads the firm and heads its Shipping, Transport and Logistics department, advising shipowners, carriers, charterers, freight forwarders and insurers across Egypt and the wider region. Earlier this year, he was also named Shipping and Transport Lawyer of the Year 2026 by The Legal 500.<\/p>\n

The IP Law Firm of the Year nomination reflects one of the longest-running intellectual property practices in the region. Eldib & Co has practised IP since 1918, filed Egypt\u2019s Trademark Registration No. 1 in 1940, and today handles IP prosecution and enforcement across the African continent and the Middle East.<\/p>\n

Established in 1875, Eldib & Co is Egypt\u2019s oldest law firm, with over 70 lawyers across four departments: Intellectual Property; Corporate, Commercial and M&A; Dispute Resolution and Litigation; and Shipping, Transport and Logistics. Alongside its Cairo headquarters, the firm has offices in Alexandria, Tripoli, Istanbul, the UAE and Qatar, as well as a representative office in Shanghai. Opened in 2018, the Shanghai office made Eldib & Co the first Egyptian and first Arab law firm to establish a presence in China.<\/p>\n
