The Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority (EGIPA) has released Decision No. 34 of 2025, officially adding a new item to the Patents law.
A penalty fee of EGP 25,000 will apply for examinations conducted after a 3-month period. This is a recent amendment, and the official charges have been updated accordingly.
In addition to the above, EGIPA has implemented a general increase in official fees across various stages of the patent process.
