Dina Eldib serves as the head for our Intellectual Property Department. She is specialized in intellectual property prosecution, brand protection and litigation across Africa and the Middle East, with a particular focus on the North African Region. Alongside the administrative management of the IP department, her legal practice entails all aspects of intellectual property, with a specialization in trademark prosecution and enforcement. She counsels both large multinational corporations and small start-ups alike, through the management of their regional portfolios, trademark clearance and prosecution work, licensing and recordals, oppositions, and finally brand protection, market investigations, and enforcement against look-alikes and counterfeits.
She has clients across several industry sectors including fashion, luxury goods, consumer goods, food and beverage, technology, transportation, stationary, entertainment, hospitality, personal care, and pharmaceuticals, amongst others. Dina is a registered attorney before the Egyptian Bar Association, and a registered Patent and Trademark Agent. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Boston University, a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property and Technology from the University of Liverpool.
She is an active member of the: European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA); American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham); British Egyptian Business Association (BEBA); Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance (GALA); Pharmaceuticals Trademarks Group (PTMG); Association Internationale Pour la Protection de la Propriété Industrielle (AIPPI); Egyptian Association for Protection of Industrial Property (AEPPI); and the International Trademark Association (INTA). She also serves on two committees in relation to the various organizations and is the recipient of the 2018 Women in Law Award for Intellectual Property.
