Today we had the opportunity to meet with representatives from KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) to discuss and explore expectations and yields for trademark and copyright online systems and provide feedback on the Egyptian Pantent Office online system.

 

During the meeting, we discussed the importance of having an efficient and user-friendly trademark online system that allows for easy registration and management of trademarks. We also emphasized the need for a system that provides comprehensive search capabilities to ensure that trademarks are not infringing on existing rights. Additionally, we highlighted the importance of having a secure and reliable platform for trademark agents to make online payments.

 

We also discussed the importance of having an efficient and user-friendly copyright online system that allows for easy registration and management of copyrights, and we highlighted the importance of having a secure and reliable platform. We also emphasized the need for one consolidated authority that provides comprehensive services.

 

In terms of the EGPO online system, we provided feedback on our experiences with the current system and suggested areas for improvement. We emphasized that the current system provides a user-friendly interface for filing, prosecution, patent searches, and payments. We also discussed the importance of having access to comprehensive patent databases and resources to follow up on patents’ status.

 

Overall, the meeting was productive and allowed us to share our expectations and concerns regarding trademark and Egyptian patent office online systems.

 

We look forward to continuing our collaboration with KOICA to work towards improving intellectual property online platforms in Egypt.
