The Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority (EGIPA) has issued Decisions Nos. 64 and 65 of 2026, raising official fees and introducing additional service charges across a number of procedures before the Trademark Office.
The decisions entered into effect on 5 March 2026, with implementation taking place on the same date.
Under these decisions, official fees have been increased for all services handled by the Central Administration for Trademarks, Geographical Indications, and Industrial Designs.
The impact varies by service, with significant increases across the board. Search fees have increased by approximately 900%, application filing fees by approximately 200%, and renewal fees by approximately 290%.
